Kent's Interview - Part 1




Interviewer : How many years have you being in the event management and related industry? 
Kent : all in, it is 19 years. 

Interviewer : Do you feel tired after such a long time doing the same thing? 
Kent : at time yes.


Interviewer : What keep you going? 
Kent : My client, My team and My passion in what i am doing kept me going.

Interviewer :  What is your biggest accomplishment so far? 
Kent : have yet to come.  But nevertheless, I'm happy that today we are able to compete regionally that saw our expertise being sought after in neighbouring countries.

Interviewer : What is your biggest dream? 
Kent : You will be among the first to know if i achieved it.

Interviewer : Do you have a wish? 
Kent : Yes yes of course, my wish is to see JMM last more than one generation, I wish to see JMM stays in the business for a long long time. 

Interviewer : Said is easier than done, do you already have a plan how to make it works? 
Kent : True, very true, it is not just the plan after all, but involving all areas such as, the market have to be ready, client expectation, JMM team has to be more well equip with knowledge, knowhow, technology and experience. More importantly we must be able to build more talents into the system. 

Interviewer : What challenge you the most in making sure your plan works? 
Kent : People. People is always my challenge, getting the team to work together, convincing them that they can do it, so that we can achieve it. It is harder than moving a mountain. Getting suitable fresh talents to participate actively in what we are doing are just as difficult, this is no ordinary man job.

Interviewer : Fresh talent is your challenge? What do you mean? Can you elaborate more? 
Kent : Well, when I said fresh talent i am referring it to young talent. You see, young people now is so different from what I used to be, attitude and behavior towards their job, their expectation is different, sum it up to what I want to share here is the younger generation seems to be more pampered in their life, so they are not as hardworking as we did. In time, i believe we will lose out to others if we cannot find a solution to this.

Interviewer : What is your strategy in 2009?
Kent : Be Prudent, Be Strong and keep moving into the unknown territories. Believe We Can!
